Educational Programs

Overview

At Christine's Critters, it is our mission to educate the public about these majestic birds of prey and the dangers that they face in the wild. Often, the injuries that these birds present with are avoidable if we understand the connection between man and the environment around us.  Our reptiles all come to us from the pet trade, so we discuss and teach about responsible exotic pet ownership to try to reduce the number of reptiles and amphibians in rescues in need of new homes.

Reptiles can be hands on for the audience, while birds of prey are not permitted to be in direct contact with members of the public for safety reasons.   If there is a specific raptor or reptile that you are interested in, please do not hesitate to ask. Please understand that working with animals is unpredictable, and sometimes a specific animal is unable to come to a program.
